1 Use of websites “The British College of Dowsing”

1.1 By viewing the website listed above ("the website") the user ("you") is deemed to consent to all terms and conditions set out below. If you have any questions regarding the terms and conditions, you should contact the Administrator of The British College of Dowsing.

1.2 The British College of Dowsing reserves the right at all times to vary, change, alter, amend, add to or remove any of these terms and conditions. By browsing the website you accept that you are bound by the current terms and conditions and notices. Please ensure that you review these terms and conditions each time you revisit the site as you will be deemed to have accepted a variation if you continue to use the website after the variation has been posted.

1.3 The current draft of these terms and conditions was adopted and published on 1st April 2010 and amended on 2nd May 2010.


2 Copyright


2.1 All copyright and other intellectual property rights in any material contained on the website are owned by The British College of Dowsing or have been licensed to The British College of Dowsing by the appropriate rights owners. The website contains trademarks which belong to The British College of Dowsing or which have been licensed to The British College of Dowsing  by the trademark owners, for use on the website. Your use of these trademarks is forbidden unless prior written permission has been obtained from the trademark owner.

2.2 You may access any part of the website and download or copy material (by printing off individual pages onto paper) or download material on to disk (but not on to any server or other device connected to a network) strictly for personal non-commercial use only. The intellectual property rights in such material shall be retained by The British College of Dowsing or, where the material has been licensed to The British College of Dowsing, by the owners of the rights in the material.

5.1 At The British College of Dowsing we have adopted the following privacy policy as part of our commitment to protect your personal information.

With your permission, we may send you information considered relevant to students, on behalf of carefully chosen, reputable and trustworthy third parties, for purposes outlined in 4.3 above. We will follow the appropriate legal requirements to ensure that no third parties see your personal information save as set out in these terms and conditions.

5.3 If you do not wish your personal information to be used for marketing purposes by e-mail you must ensure that inform us in writing by e-mail.

5.4 You will need to inform us if you wish to receive such information by electronic means.

5.5 The website may contain links that make it easy for you to visit other websites. The British College of Dowsing does not have any control over these websites. Therefore, if you use these links to leave The British College of Dowsing and visit websites operated by third parties, The British College of Dowsing cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide whilst visiting these websites.

5.6 The British College of Dowsing may use cookies. If you want to make a request for this information you should write to our College Administrator. There will be a fee of £10 payable. A cheque for this amount should be sent to The British College of Dowsing with your request for information.


6 General


6.1 These terms are not intended to confer any benefit on a third party under the provision of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

6.2 Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved to The British College of Dowsing.

6.3 The British College of Dowsing reserves the right, at any time, to suspend or terminate your access to, or use of, the website.

6.4 The British College of Dowsing will always seek criminal prosecution of any individual who or organisation which seeks to use The British College of Dowsing’s name, material, logos or trademarks for unlawful purposes and, where appropriate, will take action within the civil courts of any applicable jurisdiction against any individual or organisation discovered to be using The British College of Dowsing’s  name, logos, trademarks or the website for unauthorised or unlawful purposes.

6.5 These terms & conditions of use shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with English law. The courts of England shall subject as set out in clause 6.6 have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any claim, dispute or other matters arising therefrom.

6.6 For the exclusive benefit of The British College of Dowsing shall retain the right to bring proceedings in the Courts of the country of residence of any user of the website.

6.7 If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid by any Court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions which shall continue to have full force and effect.

6.8 The failure by The British College of Dowsing to exercise any right or remedy under these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.

6.9 This website (http://www.thebritishcollegeofdowsing.org/) is provided to support the work of our students, members, associates and dowsers worldwide.

7 Financial

7.1 There are no refunds on digital products and services once they have been downloaded, or on courses once course access has been granted.

7.2 Where workshops and courses not delivered online are cancelled by us a full refund will be given.

7.3 Discounts, promotions and all other offers made from time to time are available for one time use only, may not be claimed retrospectively and may not be transferred, altered or claimed more than once by any one individual student.and or customer. All discounts are available only to fully paid up members and exclude complimentary or free memberships associated with other promotions. Free or inclusive publications associated with courses are not provided where a discount has been given or claimed for access to a course.

7.4 In the event that you are unable to attend an open course or workshop a credit will be given  against a future course or the opportunity to send someone else in your place.
